enantiotropy

Enantiotropy

In case of allotropes one form can be change into another at a definite temperature, when the change of one form to another at the transition temperature is reversible, the phenomenon is called enantiotropy.

The temperature at which on form of allotrope changes to another form is called as transition temperature. One form will be stable above this temperature and other form below it.
